Install Oracle 18c XE untuk Linux

Hai pada kesempatan kali ini saya mau membahas cara install Oracle Database 18c Express Edition pada sistem operasi Linux Centos / Fedora / RedHat / Oracle Solari

Installing Oracle 18c XE

Setelah di download software oracle-database-xe-18c-x.x.rpm, Sekarang kita coba install dengan perintah seperti berikut:

yum -y localinstall oracle-database-xe-18c-1.0-1.x86_64.rpm

Jika menampilkan error seperti berikut:

Loaded plugins: fastestmirror, langpacks

Coba install dulu dependency oracle-database-preinstall-18c, jika temen-temen menggunakan Oracle Linux temen-temen bisa langsung menggunakan repo dengan cara

yum install oracle-database-preinstall-18c

Sedangkan jika menggunakan distro linux lain seperti RHEL7, Centos 7, Fedora kita bisa download manual kemudian install:

# download file
curl -o oracle-database-preinstall-18c-1.0-1.el7.x86_64.rpm https://yum.oracle.com/repo/OracleLinux/OL7/latest/x86_64/getPackage/oracle-database-preinstall-18c-1.0-1.el7.x86_64.rpm

# install requirement & oracle database
yum -y localinstall oracle-database-preinstall-18c-1.0-1.el7.x86_64.rpm oracle-database-xe-18c-1.0-1.x86_64.rpm

Configuring Listener

Setelah terinstall kita jalankan perintah berikut:

/etc/init.d/oracle-xe-18c configure

Outputnya seperti berikut:

Specify a password to be used for database accounts. Oracle recommends that the password entered should be at least 8 characters in length, contain at least 1 uppercase character, 1 lower case character and 1 digit [0-9]. Note that the same password will be used for SYS, SYSTEM and PDBADMIN accounts:

Input passwordnya untuk administrator database, ini klo gak sesuai sama spesifkasinya oracle nanti passwordnya akan di generate random so be awere!!

Setelah itu jika instalasi gagal, coba periksa file pada file /opt/oracle/product/18c/dbhomeXE/network/admin/tnsnames.ora seperti berikut confignya:

Setelah semuanya sesuai, coba configure ulang

/etc/init.d/oracle-xe-18c configure

Jika semuanya lancar maka outputnya seperti berikut:

Look at the log file "/opt/oracle/cfgtoollogs/dbca/XE/XE.log" for further details.

Connect to Oracle Database using one of the connect strings:
     Pluggable database: sandbox.oraclexe-18c/XEPDB1
     Multitenant container database: sandbox.oraclexe-18c
Use https://localhost:5500/em to access Oracle Enterprise Manager for Oracle Database XE

Test connection to Database

Setelah itu, temen-temen bisa menggunakan user normal. kita perlu tambahkan env seperti berikut pada ~/.bash_profile seperti berikut:

Kemudian logout, login kembali kemudian coba buka

sqlplus system

Maka hasilnya seperti berikut:
